Jannelle Alyse Gamble, 34, of Huntington, passed away at 11:56 am Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, where she was hospitalized after an automobile accident in Huntington County.
Jannelle was born on July 2, 1988, in Huntington, the daughter of Stephanie (Wibel) Akers. She graduated from Huntington North High School with the class of 2006 where she played basketball and ran track. She then went on to Brown Mackie College of Fort Wayne to study nursing. For the past four years she worked at Reust Lawn Care and Landscaping.
Jannelle was a hard worker and adored her three girls. She loved being outdoors with her girls whether it be, camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, or horseback riding. She was talented in making crafts and enjoyed sharing them with others. Family was very important to Jannelle, and she was blessed to have had a special relationship with her Grandparents. She had a heart of gold and would do anything to help others out.
In Jannelle’s last selfless act on earth, she gave the gift of life through organ donation. She was able to improve the quality of life of three others. Her legacy will live on through her generous decision to be an organ donor.
Survivors include her three daughters, Jaysa L. Tingle, Teyler A. Tingle, Dakota A. Newsome all of Huntington; mother, Stephanie R. (Jimmy) Akers of Huntington; two brothers, Casey M. (Desiree) Gamble of Andrews, Ethan L. (Jessica) Wibel of Richlands; two sisters, Merscedes Poffenberger of Fort Wayne, Cheyenne Miller of Warren; grandparents, Michael L. and Lora Gamble Sr. of Huntington; and grandparents, Theresa (Tess) and Rex Luey of Huntington.
Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington.
